Dear Mr. President:
Thank you for your State of the Union request for a better approach to health care finance reform. Sixty five percent of the American public and 59% of physicians have a plan for health care finance reform that will bring down premiums, bring down the deficit, cover the uninsured, strengthen Medicare for seniors and stop insurance company abuses. The plan has had 44 years of successful experience in brokering the financial contract between elderly patients, the totally disabled and their physicians. It is Medicare-for-all, single-payer, rather than 50 payers, not-for-profit national health insurance. The plan is simple and has a number of advantages over the current system of health care finance, which is controlled and managed by the insurance industry and Big Pharma to maximize profit. Mr. President the plan will meet all of your expressed goals.
